BgB Beers Available
Watermelon Summer Wheat
Avoid the effort of selecting the right watermelon from the crate, because it’s just been done for you. This wheat beer showcases the best of the bunch by highlighting the juiciness of one of the world’s most shared fruits. At only 4% ABV, every sip brings on a fresh slice, allowing for all-day gratification.
Jack’s Golden Ale
Easy drinking and thirst quenching with a clean malt backbone and a light sweetness. A subtle noble hop bitterness rounds off this long-time favourite of BGB and Jack’s Gastropub regulars.
Boys to the Yard Milkshake New England IPA
Fall into the rich embrace of Boys to the Yard Milkshake New England style IPA. Magnum, Galaxy, Amarillo, Summit, and Mosaic bittering hops balance perfectly with subtle hints of vanilla. Crystal, wheat and 2 row malts complimented by lactose and oats create a soft silky mouthfeel that is both approachable and flavour forward.
Klassen’s Blueberry Belgian Wit
Klassen’s Blueberry Belgian Wit is a moderately spicy wit with slight haze and a robust purple hue. It has light Belgian funk and strong notes of bubble gum, clove, banana, orange peel and black peppercorn. Mouthfeel is light and refreshing.
Thornbury Premium Apple Cider
Thornbury Premium Cider is a truly original Canadian cider that tastes like a traditional English cider: dry, crisp and premium. It’s made with 100% fresh-pressed local apples (not from concentrate) and is cold filtered to maintain maximum flavour and aroma. Great news for those with gluten sensitivity, Thornbury Premium Apple Cider is 100% gluten free. This cider is best served chilled, with or without ice.
Blueberry Cinnamon Sour
BGB’s Best Bitter
BGB’s Best Bitter is an easy drinking amber session ale. Subtle malty notes of caramel, molasses and bready biscuit are complimented by a distinct floral hop bitterness. Brewed with Extra Special Bitter, Crystal Malt and Carared. This easy drinking pale ale has been a staple in British Pubs for centuries.
German Wheat- Also known as a Hefeweissen (Hefe=Yeast, Weiss=Wheat). This classic German style was brewed with a grain bill heaping with wheat malt and rounded off with pilsner and crystal malt. German yeast imparts notes of clove, banana, bubblegum, light citrus and a lingering yeast aroma. The brewer suggests serving this one with a lemon wedge, but an orange slice will do just as well.
BGB’s Double Hopped Strata IPA
Fresh Lime Seltzer
A clean, crisp, refreshing patio crusher. The easiest drinking, low sugar, gluten free option at BGB! Made with fermented corn sugar, water and fresh lime juice.
Artax Oated Nitro IPA
Artax (As all 70’s and 80’s kids know) is the majestic white bronco from Neverending Story. Both the horse and this beer stand for courageously leaving your comfort zone. Also, you’ll cry when they’re gone. A staggering 30% of this experimental IPA’s grain bill is oats. We wanted a rich oat mouthfeel, but that wasn’t enough. We then charged the whole batch with nitrogen instead of Carbon Dioxide. Nitrogen gas is molecularly smaller than CO2: the result is tinier, tighter bubbles which bind close to each other, forming an airtight seal of creamy goodness on the top of your glass. Artax has a silky slickness and a lingering texture reminiscent of cereal milk. The extremely potent and fruit forward Idaho 7 hop brings Artax an explosive fruit aroma like pineapple bubble tea, while the less flamboyant (but one of the brewer’s favourite) Simcoe hops bring a familiar dank terpene scent. This beer takes a little longer to pour from the nitro tap. It might seem never ending, but it’s definitely worth the wait.
Sex Panther Sweet Nitro Porter
A substantial, medium dark beer with a complex and flavorful roasted malt character. Roasted barley, chocolate and Special B malt contribute coffee, roasted nut and cocoa aroma with a toasted finish. The bitterness of dark chocolate is balanced with sweetness from the addition of lactose. The mouthfeel is an exquisitely soft, cascading slickness as Sex Panther is served exclusively on nitro in the taproom.
Blueberry Cinnamon Sour Cask
Cask Ale, or “Real Ale,” is a naturally carbonated beer served during an active secondary fermentation and served at room temperature from a hand pump. Residual yeast is present in cask ale: gobbling up remaining sugar and producing additional alcohol and trace amounts of carbon dioxide. This unfiltered ale is a staple in British Pubs and snooty beer joints across the world and is known for bearing the true flavour of beer: free from palate-numbing coldness or perceptually acidifying extraneous carbonation.
