BgB Beers Available

Wild Goose Lager

ABV: 4.75%

IBU: 23.5

SRM: 5

Approachably crisp and clean, balanced with a subtle malty finish. The Wild Goose Lager is a flagship favourite for all beer drinkers, micro to macro.

Jack’s Golden Ale

ABV: 5.4%

IBU: 23

SRM: 5.3

Easy drinking and thirst quenching with a clean malt backbone and a light sweetness. A subtle noble hop bitterness rounds off this long-time favourite of BGB and Jack’s Gastropub regulars.

Boys To The Yard Milkshake

New England IPA

ABV: 6.2%

IBU: 46

SRM: 5.2

2 row, crystal malts, wheat malt and a bushel of oats create a light colour and slight haze. Lactose and oats contribute to a silky mouth feel and slight sweetness.  An early boil addition of Magnum bittering hops and Galaxy, Amarillo, Summit, and Mosaic hops in the late boil and whirlpool allow for approachable bitterness and a significant hop aroma.

Octoberfest Weiss

ABV: 4.75%

IBU: 13

SRM: 4

The recipe for BGB’s Oktoberfest Weissbier was modelled after the brewer’s favourite German wheat beers included Erdinger, Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr.

This ester-forward, easy drinker was fermented hot to encourage the yeast to produce significant signature flavours- Banana, Bubble Gum, clove cardamom and a hint of unripe pineapple. Our low flocculating yeast makes this beer hazy and very light in colour. As the light of patio sun catches the beer, it will bring you back to peak days of Summer.
This beer pairs well with light spice and sweetness- Think Thai stir fry, Indian curry and German sausage.

Octoberfest Altbier

ABV: 6.3%

IBU: 48

SRM: 9.5

We first learned of the beautiful simplicity and embracing experience that is Altbier in 2016. Our Brewer was sitting on a park bench overlooking the Rhine, early afternoon after bar hopping in Dusseldorf. Every bar served Altbier, as it is the beer of Dusseldorf. Up to this point in his beer drinking Odyssey, he had dismissed German beers as boring and indistinguishable from each other. Altbier taught him otherwise.
Introduced in the 19th century, relied on bottom fermenting yeast rather than the industrially standard top fermenting yeast. Because this new style relied on old methods of fermentation, “Altbier,” or “Old Beer,” was the coined name. As it is cold conditioned, many people mistake it for a lager as I once did.

If you’re looking to break preconceived notions about what a German beer can be, this is the beer for you.

Wolfhead Coffee Whiskey Emperial Stout

ABV: 9.4%
SRM: 43
IBU: 45
We designed a grain bill to showcase and heighten the incredible flavour and richness of Wolfhead Distillery’s Coffee Whiskey. The style we thought would do it justice was an Imperial Stout. This exciting collaboration with our good friends down the road pours thick with a rich mocha foam head and a surreal punch of coffee aroma. Whispers of salted caramel, vanilla, oak, anise and salt will grace your palate while letting the rich coffee aroma shine.
Enjoy slowly in front of a fireplace or in a recliner. This one is meant to be savoured.

Centurion Amber Lager

ABV: 5.5%

IBU: 28

SRM: 15

Centurion Amber Lager is imbued with moderate hop bitterness and a lovely toasted caramel sweetness derived from a generous dose of crystal malt in the grain bill. This medium-bodied, unfiltered lager has a very slight haze, slightly silky mouthfeel and lasting head retention. Pair with soft cheeses, nuts and light desserts.

Hunter‘s Moon Spiced Latte Stout

ABV: 8%

IBU: 37

SRM: 37

Rich, desserty and reminiscent of chocolate winter pastries: this slow sipping stout is ideal for cold weather. Hefty oat, wheat, barley and lactose additions make for a silky mouthfeel and a slick draught. Cocoa nibs, Red Lantern Coffee and an in-house spice mélange take this 8% warmer to the next level.

Lemon Tea Seltzer

ABV: 5.5%

IBU: 0

SRM: 0

Brewed with a blend of fresh muddled lemon verbena, orange and lemon peel and peach segments. This bright and refreshing seltzer is reminiscent of a less sugary Mike’s Hard Lemonade, road side lemonade stops and Fruity Pebbles cereal.
As the weather cools down, this drink is a perfect reminder of Summers past and Summers to come. Enjoy.

Top Dog Brewing Co.

ABV: 5%

IBU: 45

The combination of peaches and cream have long been enjoyed in everything from dessert dishes to song lyrics. Somewhere in the middle of that list, Top Dog now offers a beer that the beloved fusion has always deserved. This Milkshake IPA showcases ripe peaches that display their dark yellow glow in each glass, tempting all to taste this newly created nectar.

Artax Oated Nitro IPA

ABV: 6.64%

IBU: 47.9

SRM: 6.6

Artax (As all 70’s and 80’s kids know) is the majestic white bronco from Neverending Story. Both the horse and this beer stand for courageously leaving your comfort zone. Also, you’ll cry when they’re gone. A staggering 30% of this experimental IPA’s grain bill is oats. We wanted a rich oat mouthfeel, but that wasn’t enough. We then charged the whole batch with nitrogen instead of Carbon Dioxide. Nitrogen gas is molecularly smaller than CO2: the result is tinier, tighter bubbles which bind close to each other, forming an airtight seal of creamy goodness on the top of your glass. Artax has a silky slickness and a lingering texture reminiscent of cereal milk. The extremely potent and fruit forward Idaho 7 hop brings Artax an explosive fruit aroma like pineapple bubble tea, while the less flamboyant (but one of the brewer’s favourite) Simcoe hops bring a familiar dank terpene scent. This beer takes a little longer to pour from the nitro tap. It might seem never ending, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

Sex Panther Sweet Nitro Porter

ABV: 5.4%

IBU: 19

SRM: 22

A substantial, medium dark beer with a complex and flavorful roasted malt character. Roasted barley, chocolate and Special B malt contribute coffee, roasted nut and cocoa aroma with a toasted finish. The bitterness of dark chocolate is balanced with sweetness from the addition of lactose. The mouthfeel is an exquisitely soft, cascading slickness as Sex Panther is served exclusively on nitro in the taproom.

Golden Ale

Cask Ale, or “Real Ale,” is a naturally carbonated beer served during an active secondary fermentation and served at room temperature from a hand pump. Residual yeast is present in cask ale: gobbling up remaining sugar and producing additional alcohol and trace amounts of carbon dioxide. This unfiltered ale is a staple in British Pubs and snooty beer joints across the world and is known for bearing the true flavour of beer: free from palate-numbing coldness or perceptually acidifying extraneous carbonation.
